The Siduri Santa Barbara County Pinot Noir comes primarily from vineyards in the Sta. Rita Hills. This area produces some of the darkest and most concentrated Pinot Noirs from the entire state of California. Using a mix of whole cluster and destemmed grapes from these vineyards, they were blended in barrel until just the right mix was created. The goal was to make a truly compelling and immediately enjoyable Pinot Noir red wine that reflects Santa Barbara County. This red wine has upfront aromas of cranberry, fig, and Chinese Five Spice, along with eucalyptus. Flavors of fresh berries, plum and white pepper followed by a smooth texture and medium acidity. This Red Wine has a Screw Cap closure. Alcohol Content: 14.5% Pair with grilled filet mignon, roast chicken, sausages and sugo sauces. Siduri has been producing wines from Santa Barbara County since the 2000 vintage. The proximity of the vineyards to the Pacific Ocean provides the ideal conditions for the production of wines with crisp acidity and beautiful aromatics. The Santa Barbara County vineyards are some of Siduri's coolest sites, which promotes a longer hang time, deep colors, and polished tannins. This wine is 20% whole cluster fermented on the ripest stems, adding earthiness and complexity to complement the unique flavors, structure, and aromatics that Santa Barbara County provides.
